Iran Gave Advance Notice Before Attack on Qatar Base

June 22, 2025 – Former U.S. President Donald Trump revealed Sunday that Iran gave advance notice to the United States before launching a missile attack on a U.S. military base in Qatar. Trump’s statement, made during an interview with reporters, comes as U.S. military officials confirm no other American bases in the region were targeted or struck.

According to Trump, Iranian authorities communicated their intentions through diplomatic channels prior to the attack, which reportedly minimized casualties and damage at the affected base. “They let us know beforehand,” Trump stated. “That’s why there were no major losses.”

A senior U.S. military official, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that “no Iranian attacks have been detected at any U.S. base other than the facility in Qatar.” The official added that all personnel at American bases in the Middle East remain on heightened alert as a precaution.

The incident follows days of rising regional tensions, missile launches, and a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Iran. The White House and Pentagon have not yet issued formal statements regarding Trump’s comments or the extent of advance notice.

No casualties or significant infrastructure damage have been reported at the Qatar base. U.S. and allied forces in the region continue to monitor the situation as diplomatic efforts for de-escalation proceed.

This story is developing. Updates will follow as more information becomes available.
